Tanzanian President John Magufuli has died, aged 61, after what the government said was a battle with heart disease.
Magufuli who was a COVID-19 sceptic, passed away amid rumours that he succumbed to coronavirus-linked complications.
The government has denied these claims.
Vice President Samia Suluhu Hassan will likely succeed him until the next election in 2025.
