In Sudan’s Darfur region, thousands of people fleeing El-Fasher have arrived in Tawila, and many have lost contact with their families. Witnesses speak of mass killings, torture, and abductions by the Rapid Support Forces and allied militias. Tawila now serves as a fragile sanctuary for the displaced. Families live in makeshift shelters, fully dependent on humanitarian aid and uncertain when they will ever return home.
