Police have used tear gas to break up protests in the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s capital.
Thousands marched against the recent appointment of a new electoral commissioner, a move church leaders and rights groups say was illegal.
The demonstrators believe President Felix Tshisekedi is tightening his grip on power.

Al Jazeera’s Malcolm Webb reports.
