TREASURY EYES RECORD US$10 BILLION REVENUE MILESTONE
Treasury is on course to raise a record US$10 billion in revenue this year after posting a budget surplus in the first quarter of 2026, signalling continued economic growth under the Second Republic. Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion Minister, Professor Mthuli Ncube, said ZIMRA collected US$2.5 billion against expenditure of US$2.4 billion during the first quarter, reflecting improved revenue collection and a growing tax base.
