Tunisia marks anniversary of abolishment of slavery

In the last week of January, millions of Tunisians mark the annual day of national memory to honour the abolition of slavery and human trafficking in the North African country. Tunisia was among the first Arab countries to abolish slavery. However, many Tunisians and migrants from Sub-Saharan Africa are still suffering from slavery-like practices in Tunisia.
