Torrential rainfall led to severe flooding in Sierra Leone’s capital Freetown on September 16, forcing residents to flee their homes, whilst also causing widespread damage to businesses and vehicles. Images shared across social media showing properties engulfed by floodwaters and residents wading through the flooded streets. This video shows the flooding in Freetown on Wednesday.
