Zanzibar has launched a six-month pilot project using artificial intelligence-powered drones to identify and treat mosquito breeding sites as it works towards eliminating malaria by 2029. Health officials say the technology will complement existing prevention measures and help sustain progress in the fight against one of Africa’s deadliest diseases.
