Zimbabwe has been applauded for becoming the first AU Member State to ratify the Social Protection and Social Security Protocol.
Chairperson of the Africa Platform for Social Protection, Dr Tavengwa Nhongo, said the move strengthens social security rights and sets a benchmark for other African countries.
