Zimbabwe's central bank has introduced gold coins in a quest to ease citizens’ demands for foreign currency. At the official launch of the gold coins in Harare, John Mangudya, head of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe, said the coins are designed to reduce demand for U.S. dollars in the country.
