ZIMBABWE PLEDGES PRINCIPLED LEADERSHIP ON UN SECURITY COUNCIL
Zimbabwe has pledged to serve with humility, responsibility and a commitment to global peace after securing 182 of the 190 votes cast to win a non-permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council.
Foreign Affairs and International Trade Minister Professor Amon Murwira said the overwhelming endorsement reflects international confidence in Zimbabwe’s foreign policy anchored on friendship, cooperation and mutual respect among nations. He also commended President Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa for spearheading the country’s successful campaign.
