Fresh Clashes Between Police And Opposition Supporters Reported In Kenya

There was fresh clashes between police and opposition supporters in Nairobi. Running battles between the two sides are being reported in several locations. Tensions have been mounting in Kenya since the return of opposition leader Raila Odinga from the United States. At least five people have been killed since his return to Nairobi on Friday. The opposition leader has been seeking international support to hold another election. Kenya has already held two, but Odinga boycotted the re-run that saw incumbent Uhuru Kenyatta re-elected. The country's Supreme Court has been hearing petitions against the re-run election. Judges are due to announce their verdict on Monday. Kenya can, however, ill afford another election. The country's spent millions of dollars on both votes.
