Mpumalanga authorities are concerned about the staggering road fatalities.

About 143 people have been killed on the province's road this festive season, between December first and January third.

Human behaviour has been cited as the major cause of the road crashes.

Meanwhile, traffic increased on the N4 toll road.

The road connects Mpumalanga, Gauteng and Mozambique.
