32 members of KZN Legislature suspended for disorderly conduct

The KwaZulu-Natal Speaker has suspended 32 members of the legislature for disorderly and unlawful conduct during the motion of no confidence sitting on December the 15th.

It is reported that the suspended members are from uMkhonto weSizwe Party and one is from the EFF.

The suspension follows a clash between police and disgruntled MK party members after failing to oust Thami Ntuli as premier in motion of no confidence vote.

The provincial Legislature in Pietermaritzburg descended into chaos upon the announcement.

In a statement Boyce said the Legislature will not tolerate violence, intimidation or deliberate disruption of its proceedings.
