Algeria has held celebrations to mark 62 years of independence. The festivities began with a magnificent parade on Tuesday. The event marked the anniversary of the Algerian revolution.The parade included modern dance - meant to pay homage to those who died for independence. The dance also acted as a message for young people to continue the pursuit of peace and prosperity in Algeria. Nearly 10 thousand people attended the parade. Each year, Algeria marks its revolution with a host of events across the country.
