Thousands have taken to the streets of the capital for the annual Mandela Remembrance Walk & Run at the Union Buildings in Pretoria, one of South Africa's most cherished December traditions. Since its inception in 2014, the event has seen crowds gather each year to honour the life and legacy of Nelson Mandela. Featuring a 5km walk, 10km run, and 21km race, the event is more than a sporting challenge it stands as a powerful symbol of unity, justice, and reconciliation, bringing families, friends, and communities together to keep Madiba's memory alive with every step.
