Burkina's Traoré takes over as chair of AES, calls for 'large-scale' operations against extremists

Burkina Faso’s military ruler Ibrahim Traore took over the rotating presidency of the Alliance of Sahel States on Tuesday, at a summit in Mali’s capital Bamako. He called for "large-scale" operations against extremists "in the coming days."
