The festive season has been marred by death and tragedy in Makhanda in the Eastern Cape as two women were found murdered in an open field.
Eastern Cape MEC for Social Development shared her concerns on the matter saying that femicide is on the rise in the area.
16-year-old Linomtha Skeyi's lifeless body was discovered in an open field on Christmas Day, while the 36-year-old Lusizo Ngqumbo was found and identified a few days earlier.
