Opposition parties in the Republic of Congo have rejected the results of the presidential election announced by the Electoral Commission as fraudulent.
President Denis Sassou Nguesso who has been in power for 36 years, won more than 88 percent of the vote.
Some opposition politicians boycotted the poll or are in jail.
