Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has been handed five years direct prison sentence by the East London Magistrates Court on Thursday.
The court handed down the sentence after Malema was convicted in 2025 for violating gun laws for firing a rifle at a rally attended by more than 20,000 in 2018, in Mdantsane.
