Nestled in Mozambique’s Manica Province, Chimoio is a sanctuary of memory and sacrifice. Echoes of Chimoio: Passing the Torch follows an intergenerational tour led by the ZANU PF Women’s League as survivors, veterans, children of war veterans and young leaders gather to remember a pivotal chapter in Southern Africa’s liberation struggle. Through testimony, song and solemn reflection, the film explores themes of sacrifice, regional solidarity, heritage preservation and the duty of passing liberation values to a new generation.
