Ethiopia conflict: Families describe shortage of food in Amhara

The conflict in Ethiopia’s northern Tigray province has spilled into neighbouring Amhara and Afar regions.
Now, a shortage of food in Amhara is putting many at risk.
While Ethiopia’s government has been accused of blocking supplies to areas under rebel control in Tigray, TPLF fighters have been accused of committing atrocities.
A spokesman for the rebels in Tigray has denied accusations of using rape as a weapon of war.
But as the conflict grinds on towards the year mark, Ethiopians, who already had so little, feel as though they are now losing everything.

Al Jazeera’s Priyanka Gupta reports.
