Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has been on a week-long state visit to China. During the visit, the two countries agreed to elevate their bilateral relationship to what they described as a China–Namibia community with a shared future for the new era. Professor David Monyae, Director of the Centre for Africa-China Studies at the University of Johannesburg and Co-Director of the Confucius Institute in South Africa, spoke to CGTN Africa about the significance of the visit and what the upgraded partnership means for both countries.
