The mother of a toddler who survived the mass shooting at Reiger Park, in Ekurhuleni, says while she is heartbroken, she is also proud of her late partner, who died protecting their child.
Harldene Naidoo’s partner is among the six people killed in the shooting.
The child sustained minor injuries.
Police say suspects driving two vehicles opened fire, killing six people, on Saturday.
The motive for the attack is not yet known, and no arrests have been made.
A manhunt has been launched for the suspects.
