Acting Police Minister Firoz Cachalia says he is looking forward to the outcome of the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry, describing it as a critical process in uncovering deep-seated challenges within the police service and the broader justice system.

Cachalia says the commission provides an important opportunity to fully understand the extent of infiltration and corruption within law enforcement structures. He has stressed that those found to have compromised the police and justice system must be held accountable.

The Acting Police Minister was speaking in the eThekwini District during the police's safer festive season campaign.
