To Mozambique now, where heavy rains from Cyclone Gombe are causing intense flooding in the port city of Beira, which was severely hit by a deadly cyclone three years ago. Beira's Mayor says the city received over 400 millimeters of rain in two days, an amount it used to get in a year. Around 500 Beira residents have fled their flooded homes. Those affected are being accommodated at three reception centers set up for the purpose.
