A mother from the Free State community of Marquard is demanding justice after her 14-year-old daughter was allegedly burnt on the chest and face by a fellow learner.
The victim, a grade five pupil at Itemoheng Primary School, spent two weeks in hospital and missed her year end exams.
The family claims the child has been bullied repeatedly, while the Education Department denies the incident happened on school premises.
