A comprehensive response to illegal immigration, appointing capable, ethical leadership in the criminal justice system, mobilising law enforcement to intensify the fight against organised crime and the rise in gangsterism are high on the agenda of the Government of National Unity.
Ten political parties that constitute the GNU concluded a two-day retreat in Gauteng to ratify the newly signed Terms of Reference for the GNU Clearing House Mechanism.

The occasion was also used to deliberate on issues facing the country and look at progress in the implementation of the priorities identified in the GNU's Statement of Intent.
