The Free State department of education has introduced a seven day holiday support program for grade four to seven learners.
This is to ensure protection of children against social ills which include GBV and drug abuse.
The initiative is also designed to protect learners during the high-risk festive period while preparing them academically and physically for the 2026 academic year.
