India faces surge in attacks on Christian minorities

Christian groups have flagged a surge in attacks on minority groups in India in the run-up to and on the day of Christmas.

India is home to more than 30 million Christians and in several cities and towns, right-wing hardline groups disrupted celebrations.

The government has not commented on attacks, but India's Prime Minister did attend Christmas mass on December 25th, where he spoke of the holiday renewing hope and warmth.
