Property developers in Kenya must fit homes and buildings with solar panels for water heating to promote clean energy production and reduce electricity costs. Kenya is one of the countries leading Africa's push toward solar energy use but it still relies heavily on hydro power and geothermal energy. Experts say solar power has huge potential in Africa and is generally more cost effective when compared to getting connected to grid electricity.
