Retired Ekurhuleni Metro Deputy Chief of Police, Revo Spies, returns to the witness stand today for a third consecutive day at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry in Pretoria.
The Inquiry has heard about members of the Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department who have criminal records.
The conclusion of a directive issued by the now-suspended Chief of Police Isaac Mapiyeye in 2022 for all EMPD officers to be vetted reveals that some have been convicted of offences like murder, rape, assault and robbery.
