The issue around the protection of whistleblowers or the lack thereof, has again raised its ugly head. Barely weeks after testifying before the Madlanga Commission probing allegations of corruption in the criminal justice system, Witness D was brutally killed on Friday night in an apparent hit in Ekurhuleni's Brakpan. Tonight we are asking the question what kind of protection should be afforded to whistleblowers and to help us answer this question, is Ben Theron, CEO of the Whistleblower House.
