Experts have shared smart planning tools for consumers to make it through the December and January pay dates.

Analysis by Standard Bank of salaried workers' pay cycles shows that the gap between December and January paydates is longer than any other month.

With public holidays, shutdowns and year-end leave, the festive season fast-tracks the December payroll cycle.
