The matric examination quality assurer, Umalusi, has given the green light for the release of the 2025 matric exam results.
Council Chairperson, Prof Yunus Ballim, approved the results and declared it as credible and delivered with integrity.
The body however, raised concern about the examination paper leak that occurred predominantly in Pretoria and implicated about 40 learners.
Despite this, it says the overall examination didn't fall short of credibility.
Umalusi briefed the media in Pretoria, on the national examination results of the Department of Basic Education, the Independent Examinations Board, the South African Comprehensive Assessment Institute and the Department of Higher Education and Training, and gave the go-ahead for the assessment bodies to release the results.
