The mother of abducted South African photojournalist Shiraaz Mohamed has broken her silence. Mohamed, who was taken a hostage in 2017, managed to escape his Syrian captors at the weekend and is now at the Turkish Embassy. In an *exclusive* interview with the SABC, Shireen Mohamed said she couldn't wait to hold her son in her arms. Shiraaz was captured in 2017 while on assignment in the war-ravaged country.
