Hundreds of spectators are expected to line the streets of the Bo-Kaap in Cape Town this evening for the annual Malay Choir street parade also know ln as the nagtroeope. More than 30 choirs will be entertaining the crowds in an age old tradition which starts in the late 1800's. The tradition is steeped in the history of slavery at the Cape. Vanessa Poonah has more.
