One of South African football's most successful development institutions, the rebranded Africa School of Excellence, is about to enter a new era.
Formerly known as the Transnet-SAFA School of Excellence, the institution now belongs to Chippa United owner, Siviwe Mpengesi, and he has major plans up his sleeve.
He says the academy that has been in existence for over 30 decades, has lost its meaning in recent years, and its ethos needs to be re-established.
