New City of Joburg Mayor to be elected on Wednesday

A new Mayor for the City of Johannesburg council is set to be elected on Wednesday. But there's added pressure, with Gauteng Premier David Makhura telling the council to get its house in order. There's been political mudslinging since the Speaker's decision last week to postpone a special council meeting to elect Herman Mashaba's replacement. Premier Makhura says failure to do could result in the provincial government intervening.
