Nigeria says it supports South Africa as the host of the G20 leaders' summit.

It will be the first time Africa is hosting this group of industrialised countries, and the African Union (AU) is now a full member of G20.

West African country's former finance minister and the founder of Amandla Institute for Policy and Leadership Advancement Dr Kayode Fayemi says it is time for Africa to push for beneficiation of its minerals and the continent must dictate terms on the rare minerals that are used for advancement of technology.
