Running clubs in the Northern Cape under the Athletics Griqualand West sporting club in Kimberley unite for a 16-kilometre "Thank you Run" to stand against Gender-Based Violence and Femicide.

About 150 runners participated, with the run also serving as a token of appreciation for the work running clubs have contributed towards the success of the provincial Diamonds and Doring Marathon that took place in November 2025.
