The Northern Cape's one billion rand housing project, launched by President Cyril Ramaphosa in January 2024, has finally gained momentum following a slow start.
The project aims to provide shelter to over 4 000 households across all five districts in the province.
Phase one of the project ,which got off to a bumpy start due to administrative hurdles and contractor non-performance, has seen over 300 beneficiaries getting a roof over their heads.
