NW government threatens to take legal action against NTI amid employees' non-payment allegations

The North West Legislature Portfolio Committee on Transport Management has threatened to open a criminal case against Business Rescue Practitioner for the North West transport Investments. Sammons was supposed to appear before the committee on Wednesday, 03 December 2025, but was not available, reportedly due to illness.

The committee postponed the hearings to a later date. The business rescue practitioner had previously refused to appear before the committee and he was summoned through his legal representative.

The NTI has been in the news, for failing to pay its employees, who are transporting commutters between Gauteng and North West.
