Openserve, a subsidiary of Telkom, is celebrating its tenth year of existence.
It's South Africa's largest fibre infrastructure provider. And as it celebrates its anniversary, it joins the global telecommunications community in observing World Fibre Day.
This is a commemoration to Nobel Prize physics winner, Sir Charles Kuen Kao, who is called the Father of Fibre Optics, with his pioneering work in the 1960s said to have laid down the foundation for the global fibre networks that keep the world connected today. Nompumelelo Siziba is at Telkom's headquarters for us in Centurion where she's in conversation with Makgosi Mabaso, Chief Commercial Officer at Openserve.
