Gauteng Traffic Police say they have recorded over 70 fatal road accidents, resulting in 87 deaths since the beginning of December.

Spokesperson Sello Maremane says more than 30 of these fatalities were pedestrians, noting that this represents a decrease compared to last year's figures.
