The Government of Provincial Unity in KwaZulu-Natal is not on the verge of collapse despite the National Freedom Party decision to withdraw.
That's the view of the ANC, IFP and the DA.

The NFP held the crucial "kingmaker" seat that provided the coalition with its narrow 41-seat majority.

Their exit leaves the GPU and the MK Party/EFF opposition deadlocked at 40 seats each.

Remaining GPU partners are calling for urgent dialogue amidst rising political uncertainty.
