Police fire rubber bullets to disperse crowd outside Eastern Cape tavern

On Sunday evening, police were conducting compliance inspections at various taverns in Zwide, Eastern Cape. Officers received complaints from the 10111 Command centre about a large group of residents gathered in the street close to where inspections were being carried out.

Responding to the complaints, on duty officers asked the group to apply Covid-19 protocols or return home.
