The Mdzananda Animal Clinic in Khayelitsha on the Cape Flats has launched a campaign which aims to encourage the public to provide shelter and sponsor homeless pets up for adoption during the festive season. The " My First Christmas " campaign invites the public to share some Christmas kindness with homeless dogs and cats. In recent weeks, the non-profit clinic and shelter has experienced an increase in animals being surrendered or abandoned.
