The local currency continued to hover around R16.50 against the US dollar today, although it was slightly weaker at the end of the week.
This follows the Rand hitting a near three-year high against the greenback earlier in the week, which has been attributed to investors dumping the dollar as they invest in emerging markets like South Africa.
