A United Nations analyst says the United States decision to withdraw from 66 multilateral organisations adds credence to Washington's "my way or the highway" approach to international cooperation.
Daniel Forti, who heads UN Affairs at the International Crisis Group said the US was using its political and financial leverage in the multilateral system in an attempt to shape it towards a very narrow set of priorities, aligned with the current administration's national interest.
Forti was asked how multi-laterlasim moves forward given the U.S.'s unilateral approach.
