Residents of Reiger Park in Ekurhuleni, East of Johannesburg, say they are still living in fear after the tragic incident that took place last week where six people were shot dead, and three others wounded. The sentiments were shared during a joint funeral service of the two cousins, Patricia Nieuwenhuys and Ruth Marais who fell victims of the deadly shooting. Witnesses say gunmen travelling in two vehicles indiscriminately opened fire on a group of people before fleeing the scene.
The motive for the attack remains unknown.
